Every Barbour jacket tells a story. Regular care will ensure that your beloved jackets, bags, hats, etc. will last for many years. This traditional treatment will help keep your waxed cotton garments in excellent condition.

To impregnate your Barbour jacket, hats, bags, etc., you need a pot of hot water, a soft cloth and a can of Original Barbour Thornproof Dressing. Impregnate ideally in a warm room, or outdoors on warm days. To liquefy the wax, place the can in a hot water bath. Pay special attention to seams, wrinkles and dry spots when applying evenly. Avoid applying too much wax in spots and simply remove excess wax with the cloth. In the final step, the wax should be heated on the fabric with a hair dryer. The heat will cause the wax to liquefy once again, allowing it to penetrate deeper into the cotton fiber. One 200ml can is enough for one jacket. Waterproofing agent for any Barbour jacket.
