Filson Mackinaw Wool Work Jacket - pine / black

The Mackinaw Wool Work Jacket is a classic from the Filson archives. It's warm, extremely durable and simply functional. It shares the same DNA as the iconic, patented 1914 Cruiser and is made of naturally breathable wool from Shetland sheep with a dense fabric that keeps out wind and provides durability for generations.
The design is streamlined and cut to hip length to prevent riding up while sitting and allow easy access to pockets or a tool belt. The virtually indestructible front snaps and adjustable cuffs are easy to use, even with work or insulated gloves. The pockets are modeled after the Cruiser's pockets, with snap flaps and hidden handwarmer pockets. There is a multi-layer accessory pocket on the outside left and an open storage pocket on the inside.
Wool has been the natural material of choice for centuries when it comes to protection from cold, wet weather, and primarily because it insulates even when wet. The complex structure of wool fibers directs moisture to the tips for evaporation, allowing the fabric to absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water without feeling damp or clammy.
The archival Mackinaw Wool Work Jacket is an all-purpose, all-natural jacket for work and everyday wear that just works.
