The brand born in Forlì in 1998, thanks to the passion of its founder Giuliano Ceccarelli, originally from Santa Sofia in Tuscan Romagna at the turn of the Apennines. Waxed Cotton
Manifattura Ceccarelli has been processing a proven10oz pure 100% cotton poplin quality for many years. The highly twisted yarn is extremely wear resistant and and waxing makes it even more durable, as well as naturally water repellent. The wax is not simply applied to the fabric, but the cloth is pulled through an immersion bath of melted kerosene, so that the wax penetrates the fiber permanently and sealed.
Dry Cotton
Manifattura Ceccarelli processes also for the Dry Cotton models for many years a proven 8oz poplin quality of pure 100% cotton. With this method, the water-repellent kerosene is applied as a fine spray to the still wafer-thin fibers before spinning. With this method, the thread and thus the woven cloth is already water repellent without the fabric feeling waxed. The advantage lies in a fiber structure without wax components that can impair breathability.
