Based on the popular ED55 model, the cut of the "Regular Tapered" model is suitable for almost all statures. Regular Tapered also describes the fit with a comfortable fitting "regular" torso with a medium torso height and a leg width that tapers down "tapered". As such, the Edwin Regular Tapered offers a comfortable width at the torso and thigh, with a comparatively narrow, sneaker-friendly foot width.
Updated over the years, this evergreen model has its fans due to its great fit and sturdy Japan Denim. It offers a good compromise of comfortable fit, narrow foot width, and the high quality Japanese Red Selvage & Rainbow Selvage denim qualities Edwin is known for.
DRY, or RINSED
We distinguish between DRY, RINSED and WASHED. We usually carry this Edwin model in the unwashed Dry variant, which is also known as RAW Denim.
DRY denim describes the unwashed denim fabric as it comes off the loom. This unwashed fabric is the most honest fabric among connoisseurs, where all individual marks are produced solely by daily wear.
Characteristic is the initial stiffness of the pants, which only softens with wear. These pants are also often not washed at all, or washed late and rarely.
Unlike the DRY/RAW fabric, the RINSED denim is rinsed once with water to reduce the initial hardness and stiffness.
It is the lightest finishing of denim to maintain the almost untreated character of the denim. All "Faded Out" wear marks are first created by wearing the pants individually.
With WASHED denims, a worn look is achieved through the addition of enzymes, or stone washed processes.
